My dear friends,
The time has come for The Changing Room: I’m introducing paid options!
In an effort to bring more quality and consistent content to you, I’m expanding this little newsletter in a big way. Starting now, you’ll have the option to support this Substack (and indirectly, my podcast) through a monthly or annual subscription. I’ve been a one-woman show since day one and I’m hoping that paid options can help The Changing Room grow and bring more value to readers like YOU!
So, what does this mean? Let’s get into ittttt.
I made this Susbtack at the end of 2020, during a stagnant and strange time when I desperately wanted a slice of the internet where I could write about fashion through a lens that made sense to me.
That meant — long-winded essays about mindful dressing, interviews with stylish creatives and crafting an approachable space to enjoy beautiful things in a sustainable and intentional way.
Fast forward to now, this space has given me such a gift of creative freedom and a little community to gush about my favorite things to.
And as I continue adding content and building the TCR brand, I keep getting inspired by everyone who reads my words, gives me feedback and keeps the conversation going.
So all of that to say, thank you for being here. Thakn you for finding value in my work. And thank you for staying curious.
Paid options and what to expect:
💌 What paid subscribers will get:
Access to my *NEW* semi-monthly style and shopping series, The Browse. Every other Sunday, you’ll get a curated list of items from my wishlist, shopping wisdom I’ve acquired or consumed as well as some of my favorite hidden gem shops I love to browse through.
Access to monthly solo episodes of the podcast. Think of this as a little 10-20 minute voice notes from me to you in your inbox. If you’ve enjoyed my Closet Therapy essays, this will be like an audio version of that, but a little more casual and unfiltered. These will probably eventually become more frequent!
Access to bonus essay, podcast and interview content. Paid subscribers will get access to my longer, more researches essays on fashion and style as well as occasional bonus interview content.
More to come!
👀 A sneak peak if you choose to go paid:
Next month’s issue of The Browse:
A deep medition on my complicated relationship with vintage sweaters. Plus: A sleeveless pullover to keep your heart warm, a baby tee for all the olive girls out there and too many vintage drops to count + more shoppable links.
Next month’s essay:
Our collective problem with parasocial relationships around social media especially affects fashion creators; they’re seen as the viewer’s personal paper dolls. A walking advertisement with a neat set of links to the items you need to buy in order to become the best version of you. But the beauty of TikTok and the move towards personal style and rejection of fast-pace trends, is that the app breeds a garden full of beautiful fashion.
💌 What free subscribers will keep getting:
Monthly/Bi-Monthly Getting Ready With Q&A series (Doesn’t include any bonus content I choose to share that month).
Monthly/Bi-monthly essays on personal style, fashion fixations and philosophies around dressing.
Monthly updates on The Changing Room Podcast episodes.
Occasional monthly round up posts; Love Letter Lately.
