Hey friends!
I’m ending my little hiatus (spoiler: I’m a married woman now!) with something new for you all. If you’ve been subscribed to this newsletter for a minute, you know that I like to experiment. I try to be consistent as best I can, but when I have a new idea for a segment or format, I can’t resist trying it out…
So welcome to the newest one: Mirror Talk. A Q&A segment for the stylish and the curious. I’ve wanted to do some semblence of an advice column for a while now and it feels like I’ve lived just enough life to start it now. It actually feels like the most natural step for me, because I love to share and give advice in all forms.
I’m doing this because I want to have more of a discussion with my subscribers, but also to expand and revisit topics I’ve written about. And not to toot my own horn…but I’d like to think I’ve dished out some helpful pearls of wisdom in my time…
I like to think that we’re always stepping in and out of a changing room of sorts — with our wardrobes, our relationships and of course, our style. And the best part of it all is to talk it out with the people around you.
Each month (or every other month), I'll be answering your questions, offering humble advice, and sharing perspectives to help you navigate whatever’s on your mind.
If you have any curious or introspective questions about style, culture, taste and life in general that you want answered or you think would make for an interesting post — send them over!
I’m going to keep it fairly open ended, but here’s some of my hopes of what I’d like this segment to be:
The goal with this isn’t to give you a “right” or “wrong” answer necessarily but to use it as a chance to open up a conversation with you — my readers! But if along the way my personal wisdom helps something click for you, even better.
Since my newsletter is a healthy mix of sharing shopping reccomendations and diving into emotional introspections, I want this segment to reflect both as well. So your questions can cover the gambit of life, culture, creative growth but also how to find your dream coat on Ebay.
Your submission can be as long or as short as you want, but if you feel comfortable, don’t be afraid to write me a lengthy, descriptive letter! I want to know where your head is at! What you’re thinking! How you’re viewing this dillemma!
You’re also more than welcome to send me your question/submission in the form of a voice note! Just let me know if you’re okay with me publishing the recording — otherwise I can use the transcription. I may even respond to some of these with a voice note once in a while!
Finally — everyone will be anonymous unless you specify otherwise. Feel free to sign your name with a cute nickname if you prefer it :)
