Slow Fashion, Patient Style and the Power of a Good Bag, with Courtney Phillips

Talking to the leather designer and founder of Harkin Studio about what slow, sustainable fashion means to her.

Hellooooo friends!

It’s podcast time at The Changing Room! For this episode, I spoke to Courtney Phillips, the founder and maker behind Harkin Studio in Cleveland.

A little bit about Courtney: After 8 years of experience working in the leather industry, she decided to start her own custom leather bag brand that focuses on quality materials, small-batch techqniques and intentional designs. I got to pick Courtney's brain about everything from the intricacies of leather making, her thoughts on purse trends and what it slow fashion really means to her.

To have patience in the work is to enjoy the work. And to be present in it to be fully engaged in every moment of it. — Courtney Phillips
